In Loving Memory (May 28, 2002)
Hello Sally, Wow, I truly admire your strength! Keeping everyone informed of Kent's very last moments with us, thank you. I feel so sad and my heart just aches, knowing that he is no longer with us here, physically. I have done nothing but think of Kent, I can hear him saying "Buenos Dias!" ..."Como estas? Muy bien y tu?" .....He was always so good at attempting to speak Espaņol. My Mom went back to Mexico bragging about this Big, Joyful, Singing, Gringo she met and that impacted her life. She had never met a man who could be so happy and so helpful to his wife. Unfortunately in her world, Men are so different, but Kent was one of a kind. I can hear him answering the phone "Hello Yankee Stadium...".... I miss him so much, he will be remembered with a big smile, for his sense of humor and big heart! He was optimistic till the very end, talking about all his projects that he had to get done, how he was not done living yet, Wow .... I loved that man like a father, he always comforted me, advised me and came to my rescue when I needed him. He was my guardian angel and I know he was like this to many people, but he always made me feel I was very special in his life!! I love you Sally!!! Hang in there! Give Shelby a Hug for me!! Love,
Dear Sally, We just returned from a ten day trip and are very saddened to hear of Kent's passing. Kent was not only a long time colleague, but best of all a very special friend. He popped in and out of our lives at unexpected times, always leaving us with a brighter outlook. Kent was definitely a very special person. In all the years I knew him, I
can't remember him being anything but positive and upbeat. No matter how grim
the situation or great the odds, he always left you feeling better about it.
This memorial site will be expanding. If you would like to send something to share, please click this link. He meant a lot to a lot of people, probably more than any of us can realize. Photos are a welcome addition. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Kent's memory to Canine Companions for Independence or Pleasant Grove Community Church, his 2 favorite charities.
