World Champion:  Director's Cut

Click here for a larger version.

In 1986, Simcoe Communications produced World Champion as a promotional piece for amputee Olympic hopeful, Diana Golden.  Diana went on to win a gold medal in the 1988 Olympics in Calgary.  Diana retired undefeated with 19 gold medals in world competition and began a career as a motivational speaker.

Diana gave permission for a re-edited telling of her story.  World Champion:  Director's Cut brings state of the art editing and additional follow-up material to her exciting Olympic odyssey.   The net proceeds from the sale of this video will be given in her memory to organizations supporting disabled athletes.

About Simcoe Communications

Simcoe Communications is a multimedia production facility. We capture video in diverse venues. We have state of the art digital ("non-linear") editing as well as conventional linear editing capability. We have experience in many forms of computer-based and computer-aided training.

Our work includes weddings, graduations, corporate training sessions, and personal presentations by people who have well reasoned but non-conventional approaches to some of life's situations. In particular, we have provided a forum for some with disabilities to explain their own methods of adaptation.

We seek people who have stories to tell. We are looking for opportunities to document family/ethnic/tribal storytellers. We look for additional opportunities to celebrate the human spirit with stories and demonstrations of personal adaptation to extenuating circumstances.

Some Simcoe Communications productions are available for sale to anyone interested. Check our listings on the "Catalog" page.
